What kind of deposit do I need to rent a bike?

A credit card and valid driver license or passport is required for rental deposit.

You may also use a debit card, however please note that many banks will hold the deposit amount for up to 48 hours AFTER it has been released from our system. You will need to have the deposit amount in your bank account to use a debit.

We do not accept cash or check deposits.

How old do I need to be to rent a bike?

We welcome all ages but participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the Liability Waiver form for them.

Do you offer helmets and locks?

Yes we do, and helmets and locks are free with the rental. We also include a hand-pump, quick patch tool kit/safety kit, and a customized bike map of the city at no cost.

What should I wear and bring with me?

We recommend that you wear seasonally appropriate clothing, not too loose, and closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen is useful in Albuquerque, even in cooler months, as you will be at a high altitude. Bring appropriate eye protection to protect from sun and wind on a bright, sunny or windy day.  Don’t forget your camera!

Do I need to make a reservation? And what is your cancellation policy?

In order to guarantee availability of rental equipment and guided tours it is wise to make a reservation ahead of time. To cancel your reservation, please call us 24 hours prior to the rental start date/time.

What’s a good rule of thumb for tipping tour guides (or delivery drivers)?

Tips are not required, although they are appreciated. If you are happy with your tour guide and experience, a general rule of thumb is 10 – 20%  presented when you say goodbye. For delivery drivers, a general rule is $5-10 depending on the amount of bicycles delivered. Again, gratuity is for a job well done, and is not required. If you are displeased with your service, we would like to hear about it. Please contact the store manager and we will make every effort to correct the situation.
