Each rental includes snowshoes, gaiters, trekking poles, a snowshoe bag to carry everything in, and a customized trail map.

Snowshoeing is a beautiful, low-cost, and environmentally-friendly way to explore the alpine regions of New Mexico. No complex equipment or noisy machinery is required;

Routes snowshoes are the perfect accouterments for your winter travels.

Albuquerque is graced by four high-altitude mountain ranges within a 100-mile radius: the Sandias, the Manzanos, the Jemez, and the Sangre de Christo.

All four ranges feature State and National Parks; have miles of developed trails; and receive on average over 300 inches of snowfall during the winter months (approximately December thru April).

The foothills of the closest mountain range, the Sandias, are a 15-20 minute drive from Routes, and offer the world’s longest aerial tramway which ascends 3,819 feet to alpine conditions / trailheads in approximately 15 minutes.
