New ‘Brews Cruise’ Highlights Santa Fe’s Craft Beverage Scene

Routes Bicycle Tours of New Mexico offers weekly one-of-a-kind brewery & cidery tour experience of The City Different

SANTA FE, N.M. – Aug. 24, 2016  — Routes Bicycle Tours (, the award-winning bicycle tour boutique located inside the historic La Fonda On the Plaza hotel, has announced the launch of their highly anticipated 2016 ‘Brews Cruise’ foodie tour series which highlights Santa Fe’s award-winning craft beer and cider offerings. ‘Brews Cruise’ will launch on August 27, with scheduled dates every other Saturday (seasonally, March thru November). The tour explores exceptional breweries/cideries, microbrews, and scenic bike routes throughout The City Different.

‘Brews Cruise’ is an unparalleled bicycle tour that combines the spectacular scenery of Santa Fe’s historic areas and bike paths with professionally guided beer & cider tastings, VIP back-room tours, hand-crafted local pizza, and the opportunity to meet some of the city’s top Brewmasters and Cidermakers in person. Each installment features at least three breweries/cideries and a selection of highly-rated local craft beverages, with distinct routes and partners to be highlighted each tour installment. Bike and craft beverage lovers can mount up on Routes’ signature, yellow-tired city bikes for a unique, authentic, all-inclusive tour experience.

This is the first professionally-led bicycle brewery tour in Santa Fe, and brings a fresh spin to the microbrew sampling experience. Routes’ sister tour in Albuquerque (‘Bikes and Brews’, now in its sixth year) has been highlighted by CNN, ABC News, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Lonely Planet, and the Travel Channel (among other media outlets).

Featured Santa Fe partners for 2016 include Blue Corn Café & Brewery, Chili Line Brewing Company / Pizzeria & Trattoria da Lino, Santa Fe Cider Works,New Mexico Hard Cider, and Santa Fe Brewing Company.

“We are thrilled to offer this original and exciting way to explore our city’s best craft brews”, said Josh Arnold, who owns and operates Routes Bicycle Tours with his wife, Heather. “The craft beverage scene in Santa Fe has exploded, and our ‘Brews Cruise’ offers a wonderful, safe way to sample new beers & ciders, take in beautiful scenery, and meet people from around the world in the process.”
